Where has the summer gone? I can’t believe July is over. Since it’s a new month tomorrow, there is a little updating. Stay cool and safe!
Please remember to keep dancing too! Those dance locations sometimes disappear if attendance drops too much. Also, if you’re dancing in a bar or restaurant, they expect you to buy something, not just dance for free. They are not in business to provide you with a good time for free.
Please note that the differences in font and appearance of various events is not my intention. For some reason, copying and pasting causes issues with my word processing and moving it to this site. It all looks the same to me on my document and then when copied here, it changes. It's annoying, but I have not figured out what to do about it, short of retyping the entire document, which I'm not going to do.
Because snow is not the only thing that sometimes cancels events, please know the cancellation policy of the events you attend. Several go with what the schools do in the country they are in for weather events, so you need to know what county. If the organizer of your favorite events have a contact list, get on it, Many use Facebook, so if you don’t have that, you may need to depend on others.
The calendar page was updated recently. If there are things missing or incorrect, please let me know. I generally put things in that happen on a regular basis so that I don’t need to update too often.
Feel free to fill me in on whatever you know is happening that I don’t have listed here If you send info, please give me as much as you can about it, including where to find the information so that I may update later.
I don’t include weekly band information for the clubs that have bands as it is frustrating and time-consuming. So, if you’re interested in what band is where, you’ll need to check the clubs’ websites or Facebook pages. If there are bands you follow, you can check their pages as well.
COVID regulations are changing and I am not trying to keep up with the changes. I suggest you take a mask along in the event one is required. There are some dances that do require proof of vaccination or advance purchase of tickets, so you’ll want to check on that.

August 19 – So MD Boot Scooters Annual Dinner & Dance to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.at the Waldorf, MD Elks Lodge. 6pm.-11pm; You don’t have to dance to join the fun! The Boot Scooters participate in the Walk To End Alzheimer’s in September. All proceeds go to the Alzheimer’s Association. Dinner included by The Outback Steakhouse.
