Happy Summer this week! Weather-wise anyway.
Given how odd the weather has been, and because snow is not the only thing that sometimes cancels events, the weather MIGHT impact events, so please know the cancellation policy of the events you attend. Several go with what the schools do in the country they are in, so you need to know what county. If the organizer of your favorite events have a contact list, get on it, Many use Facebook, so if you don’t have that, you may need to depend on others.
There are new events opening up all over the place, it seems.
The calendar on the website is caught up, other than whatever I may have learned in the last week.
Feel free to fill me in on whatever you know is happening that I don’t have listed here If you send info, please give me as much as you can about it, including where to find the information so that I may update later.
I don’t include weekly band information for the clubs that have bands as it was frustrating and time-consuming. So, if you’re interested in what band is where, you’ll need to check the clubs’ websites or Facebook pages. If there are bands you follow, you can check their pages as well.
Masking and vaccination rules are still changing. I am not trying to keep up with the changes. I change some of the ones I have in the listings if I know they have changed. I suggest you take a mask along in the event one is required. There are some dances that do require proof of vaccination, so you’ll want to check on that.

June, July, & August - 4th Thursdays; Carole of Dancing By The Bay, (who has been teaching for Calvert Co. Parks & Rec) will teach and host a dancing at American Legion Post 206 in Chesapeake Beach, MD; Music starts at 6pm, lessons at 7pm, dancing until about 10pm. $5 donation to the legion. This will be a very informal version of the monthly country dance (no band, no regular DJ, no refreshments), just lessons and some music for dancing. It will be more like Carole’s events at O’Gannigan’s.
October 21-23, 2022 – Sandy’s Ocean City Halloween Weekend Dance Event IS SOLD OUT! ; The block at the hotel is SOLD OUT. From Sandy…..Do not register for the weekend without contacting her.
